Varjo Aero prepares you for an ultra-realistic VR metaverse

Varjo Aero VR Headset takes upscale hardware – generally made for markets companies that have a lot of cash – ready for consumers. This doesn’t mean an affordable headset – it will run you around $ 1990 USD, almost two thousand dollars – but you will know where your money goes. Each of the two eyes you get your own Mini LED LCD with 2880 x 2720 pixels – it’s a lot.

Strangely, this headset does not have a speed of refresh speed image 120Hz – only 90Hz. Each view is calibrated into 120nit brightness and 99% SRGB, 95% DCI-P3, but only 90Hz refresh. Of course, they redeem it with a variable resolution measurement lens specifically made with “end to end” and no ghost reflection or rays.

This headset provides a 115 degree horizontal display field and a 134 degree diagonal field of view with “12 mm eye relief.” You will also find high-end calibration for your eyes possible with automatic IPD adjustment technology with a default motor for this purpose. The IPD range supported by this headset is 57-73mm.

Users will also find active cooling in this headset for long-term comfort. The headset works with a polyurethane face pillow that can be cleaned which can be replaced easily, and the headbands right precision 3-point (with one of the tightening calls behind).

Audio handled by a standard 3.5mm headphone jack and a pair of in-ear headphones (with mic) (included in the box). This device works with a position tracking provided with STEAMVR 2.0 / 1.0, so you are on Universe Valve / Steam with this one.

This headset works with 200Hz eye tracking (in-headset) with “sub-degree accuracy”. It works with 1-dot calibration for fovated rendering, per creator of this product.

Varjo Aero is available for orders now through the Varjo website. The first shipping starts “at the end of 2021”, and the price will be $ 1990 “plus tax”. It does not include shipping prices.

This device is ready to roll with Varjo teleport VR, a platform for collaborative work between headsets – which will ultimately have a subscription fee. This device also prepares users for Varjo Reality Cloud, a platform that will support streaming content from Cloud – when it is generally available. And remember, this is a company that conveys Volvo Driving Simulator – so you know they are ready to roll with a big boss of the industry.
