Overwatch Hero Jesse McCree has a new name, and, no, it’s not Deadeye Dave. As promised, Blizzard has changed its name to Gunslinger afterwards with his actual name leaving the studio in August. On October 26, McCree will be known as Cole Cassidy.
“To make new overwatch better – to fix it – he must be honest with his team and himself.” Blizzard said in a tweet. “His cowboy went up to sunset, and Cole Cassidy faced the world at dawn.”
Jesse McCree who actually left the studio after the Fair California Department and housing demanded Activision Blizzard to grow the workplace “Frat Boy”. Although indirectly named in complaints, McCree reportedly participated in the famous “Cosby Suite” where Blizzard employees, including former Creative Director World of Warcraft Alex Afranabi, allegedly harassed women. When it first announced a name change, Blizzard said he wanted to find a better representing overwatch ideals. This also promises will no longer give the name of the character in the game after the employee.
Along with changes in names, Blizzard is testing two potential changes in the Cassidy kit. It may tweak the deadliest Deadeye to make it more deadly and allow players to use the combat roll in the air. The last change must help avoid the vertical knockback capabilities of heroes such as Doomfist and Wrecking Ball. You can try tweak by launching an overwatch experimental mode.
